My passenger side door wont open from the outside, but i can open it from the inside....any insight will help

i have the same problem on the drivers side but luckily it opens with a hard pull, it seems as if something is wore out. Any tips would help me too.

Is this an e46 complaint or an e36 complaint??

The cable for the outer handle has either worn to the point of no use, or broken completely. At the very least, you'll need to remove the door panel and find out which. And keep your latches lubed in the future! This is commonly overlooked, and important to keep on top of in the coupes especially.

would this be something that is covered under the CPO agreement from BMW? If not, which parts would I need to repair this and how hard is it to do it?

Not sure, but it might. You should visit your dealership and ask them. To fix the cable it's fairly easy, if it's an actuator it's kinda a pain and alot more work. If it;s only the cable then you could simply remove your door panel, vapor barrier partially, and detach the cable from the actuator and reinstal.

Whether it's the cable or the actuator, it should be covered by CPO.
