View Full Version : fixable?
stevesbmw 10-30-2006, 08:25 PM Curbed my rim (was looking at a lovely young lady ). Was wondering if there is a wheel shop somewhere around Portland that can fix these, if it is even possible...

abbot555 10-30-2006, 08:52 PM :wow that sucks :(
mitchelrl 10-30-2006, 09:17 PM thats crazy, no woman is worth that damage.
stevesbmw 10-30-2006, 09:29 PM I was pretty upset at first but then was reminded of the brighter side, which is, at least it was only one wheel, and it was not the DPE's I will soon have on......Still, wouldn't mind fixing it if its around ~$80, otherwise, I might just pick up another one.
boarder325 10-30-2006, 09:49 PM there is aguy right off of cayon road by the lexus dealership and NW Investment Cars that does wheel repair. He works on nice cars too, so he is credible. My Dad got his M5 rim unbent there for under $100 if I remember right. I'll get the name of the place later.
1bad m3 10-30-2006, 10:03 PM wanna just sell me your wheel tire combo
i like buying wheels... its like black guys and shoes... i like to have a new pair for every day of the week

Please do, that would be awesome, thanks!
1bad m3, I think the rims are spoken for, after I get my DPE's, but I'll keep you in mind when the time comes.
ScottyFerrari 10-31-2006, 12:59 AM Call Darby at Autohaus Bayern--they know a great rim guy, I can't recall his name, but it is $150. I spoke to him, and the fix is the full meal deal--tire off, repair, repaint, rebalance, etc.
AR may have a hook up as well.
Anytime I have one of these questions (in addition to posting) I usuallly check with a local shop.
stevesbmw 10-31-2006, 10:03 AM Thanks, yeah, I checked with AR first of course and then figured I would ask around real quick.
dgaab31123 10-31-2006, 12:19 PM Skip's Wheelworks 503-641-8001. They are across the street from my office, so honk as you go in. They are between Canyon & Beav-Hills on 96th Ave. No sign, so just turn right into the driveway behind the retail strip facing Beav-Hills (a dutch store). I watch nice cars drive up and down the street trying to find the place. They are great people and I have never heard a complaint after sending at least 20 people to them.
stevesbmw 10-31-2006, 12:28 PM Thank you very much! I will check into that in the next couple days when I am back in town.

That is the place I was referring to in my post. They did a very good job on my Dad's rims and he was really friendly.

i will vouch for them! i have taken my mom's M wheels there a few times. (she doesn't grasp the concept of trying to miss potholes)
it is a little hard to find, and at first you will think you are pulling up to someones house....why they do gret work!
Ty Vil 11-01-2006, 02:20 PM Skip's is the only place I'd go.
stevesbmw 11-01-2006, 02:45 PM Skip's it is! Hopefully I can find him. Thanks Seth, I will let him know!
