Does anyone know of any shops in South Jersey with a dyno???

I'm in Haddonfield, within 15-20 miles of Philadelphia. Any shops near Atco Raceway?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Stan! Welcome to BimmerForums! I knew a shop down in Atco, but in the last month they have gotten rid of their dyno, and the place they refer business to has since gotten rid of theirs too... :az:

Anyone else know of any reputable dyno shops in South Jersey?? :dunno

Thanks, Stan.

Anyone knows of any local shops for Stan? Maybe some in Philly, even?

I know of three. Two are in the western suburbs of Philthadelphia.
AWE specializes in Audis but they just installed a new Mustang Dyno
AWE Tuning (http://www.awe-tuning.com/)

And Cyntex Racing
Cyntex - West Chester, PA - (610) 738-8804
No web site for Cyntex, however Paul Schwatrz (owner) is VERY highly regarded among the Porsche crowd for his abilities in tuning, race prep and engine building.
Baby has been dynoed there on his Mustang dyno three times.

As a matter of fact Cyntex will be where the dyno tuning for Baby's more vicious phase of mods will be done. I trust Paul and Tony Salloum of VAC Motorsports with this important job.

The third is Helix Minisports. They specialize in Minis. According to their web site they have a Mustang Dyno. I don't know anything else about them other than I saw their name in conjunction with a dyno day in Philly a few weeks ago. Helix MINISports (http://www.helix13.com/)

The only thing I can suggest about dyno readings is to choose a shop and stick with that shop and their dyno so the comparison of readings surrounding your mods will be valid.
Comparing a Mustang Dyno readout to a DynoJet readout is a complete waste of time.
If you baseline on a particular dyno, all subsequent runs should be on that same dyno. Thats the only way to see if the mods had any effect.

Chuck Stickley uses Cyntex for all of his dyno tuning. There dyno shows VERY low numbers when compared to a place like ERT. I remember Chuck telling me that his race car would put down 315rwhp at ERT but around 260-265rwhp at Cyntex. When I had him put in the euro hfm, euro intake, ss headers, ss exhaust, injectors and custom chip, it put down 202rwhp. This is low cause of the dyno. PhastM3 also had his 3.2 OBD1 car w/ cams dynoed at Cyntex and put down 209rwhp. I recall Chuck telling me that my car was putting down 280-285hp. So dont be alarmed if you go to Cyntex and see lower readings then what you are accustomed to. Thanks. Later

If you guys don't know where the shop is in Berlin here are some directions. Coming from route 73 or 561, take both of them to the Berlin Circle. Enter the circle and hop on cross keys road( you will want the Oldies MCdonalds on your left when you leave the circle. Follow that road and you will come to a light with a KING of PIZZA on your left. That is the intersection of Cross Keys and the White Horse Pike. Cross the intersection and about a mile down the road you will come to another light. There will be a WAWA on your left and a Mobile on your right. Cross the intersection and a few hundred feet up the road on your right hand side you will see a newer looking building with a sign out front that says (DYNO YOUR HOTROD). If you have any ?'s about the directions PM me. Steve

I've heard mixed feedback over the years about that place in Berlin. Friends that had S/C Mustangs used to go there and said they weren't too happy with the facility. I don't know from personal exp. though. But if a group is going I'm in. Let me know:alright
