Rahul325 10-30-2006, 06:58 PM Keller is pretty good :) i am sure u can find a good 3-4 BR house in the 150K range. SecretAznSauce 10-30-2006, 09:26 PM my house, we can work out a deal MCM97 10-30-2006, 09:58 PM Mine. Seriously. It's a 3 bed 2 bath, 1800 total sq ft. and well under $150000. I'm trying to lease or sell it because since I got back from Iraq the only job I could find was in Dallas and the drive is killing me. Have him call me or email me at mcelwain at hotmail and you know the rest. He already started working on the base and they are staying 2 hours away currently. Oh and location he wants to be with in 20 mins of the base. MCM97 10-31-2006, 02:49 PM just leased it this am believe it or not Def 10-31-2006, 06:00 PM sent you an email hope i got the address correct if not can you send me an email or PM with info or pictures on the house and asking price. That pretty much means Benbrook/south Ft Worth for a nice area within 20 mins. The drive from most of the places up north on 35 are anywhere from a bit more than that to quite a bit more since they tend to stay on the East side of 35 up north of the city. South of the city you want to live west of 35. SecretAznSauce 10-31-2006, 07:41 PM i'll do 160k for it, you've seen my house. willing to leave some goodies too MCM97 11-01-2006, 12:22 PM Eric - where are you looking to move? SecretAznSauce 11-01-2006, 05:34 PM and oh I have a rental house in central arlington with 4 rooms I'd sell for 100k. TurboTodd 11-03-2006, 01:52 AM Decent homes for between 100K and 180K in the Chapel Creek area.. Close to the base, less than a 10 minute drive. Todd Irish03 11-07-2006, 01:30 AM I would suggest Arlington but that's a little far from the base. Chapel Creek would probably be the best bet posted thus far in terms of price and location. Just wondering, do your friend and his wife have children? I ask this because if so you have to consider the schools. Austin 11-08-2006, 12:41 PM No kids yet. I've been watching that show on HGTV about buying house's and their currently looking at house's in Ft worth. Some nice stuff in the area but they never show the price on this show. I myself will be looking to buy a house little less than a year around the DFW area can't figure out where yet. MCM97 11-08-2006, 01:08 PM guess what? my house will be for sale in a year! nemat0de 11-08-2006, 11:16 PM If you need to find the 'value' of a house or area zillow.com is one of the best. EX:wwwDOTzillowDOTcom/search/Search.htm?addrstrthood=chapel+creek&citystatezip=Fort+Worth%2C+TX&mode=browse Then go to tad.org to find out the tax/ownership history. Irish03 11-11-2006, 12:54 PM OK forget about the schools but around the base the White Settlement district is bad. Castleberry ISD is also bad but the average value in that district is around 50K. You really think Zillow is accurate? If it is I got a damn good deal on this house, but I think the general leeway is about +/- 20% on its estimate. SecretAznSauce 11-11-2006, 08:05 PM No, imo anything you find online thats free is usually way off, like kbb and nada. IIRC my house was like 130k more than I paid for it. Irish03 11-12-2006, 02:41 PM No, Zillow is not accurate. The most accurate number is going to be from the licensed RE appraiser but of course that's not exactly free. I'm actually in the commercial RE biz. nemat0de 11-13-2006, 10:58 PM You really think Zillow is accurate? If it is I got a damn good deal on this house, but I think the general leeway is about +/- 20% on its estimate. Agreed. It's about $50k too high on my house. It does give you a general idea of the area that you are looking in and the surrounding neighborhoods. |
