I had a LOW BALL offer on my house today and I'm thinking about taking it given the market and the two hours a day in the freaking car. How much on average would it be to move from ft worth to dallas given the typical stuff like washer/dryer, tv, couch, etc

My sister moved most of her clothes and stuff like that, and had some local movers come in and move the heavy stuff(furniture, washer/dryer etc.) for like $150-200. It was a short drive(about 10-15 mins), but I was pretty surprised at how fast they went(1 trip).

I'd think a short move within about 30-40 miles would be less than $400 or so with a local company.

you've seen what I have - is that comparable to what your sister had?

Probably the same or less. She had easily 100+ boxes of shoes. I couldn't believe that crap. I made 3 full loads of just shoes in my M3 and didn't put a dent in 'em. The amount of junk she had just about covered all the bases.

impressive. Found some guys for $400. Done. If anyone wants to help pack Saturday I've got wine and beer that need to be drank and not packed.
