A chick friend of mine wants to sell me her 1981 320i for 300 bucks... but it needs a fuel distributor. Now, the cheapest i can find one for is 300 bucks. Anyone know where i can get one for cheaper?

Go to your local scrap yard, if you dont have one near you, I can get one from the 82 that I will be taking from tomorrow at the junkyard and sell to you for like IDK depends one what they charge me, but it will be less than 300 I would imagine

P.S. Anybody got 1 Recaro, there is only one in the car.

Thats a really good price last time I checked. They are usually around $500.

You cant really complain for a $600 car now can you...

Not my car yet, its a friends of mine, her bf looked through it and he found out thats what was wrong. I dont know squat about BMWs... hondas yes, BMWs no. I thought i would make a fun car to drive and rally... And i dont wanna have to pay $300 for parts for a $300 car.

I picked one up for you at the scrap yard, how is $150? Looks like it was replaced recently, but the car was totaled in the back. Get back to me.

Just make sure the FD is for the correct year. I'm not 100% sure that the 77-79 are different than the 80-83, but I know their locations are different.

They are different. The post '80 FD's have lambda control, therefore have a port on the side for the frequency valve.

Yeah the one I picked up was from a 80-83, the production date stamped on the block and intake and head is 81, IDK what year you need. Cant find one on the distributor. Pic soon.
