Just wondering for anyone who installed the VF SC kit on their cars if you pulled the intake manifold while doing the install. Seems like it would make the install much simpler. Also when taping the manifold did you notice any metal shavings?

The intake manifold does NOT have to be removed. We have installed two M52 kits and it can be done and no metal shavings are left in the port. In fact it should only be plastic shavings. I would add some grease at the end of the tap to collect any shavings but you're only tapping a thin section.

That part of the installation is a bit challenging though.

it does indeed sound challenging. i can't seem to find any write ups on how to remove oil separator.

it seems like it would be easier to do the tapping and removing the oil separator with the intake mani removed. :/
