I need a new positive cable. The one I installed is not cutting the mustard. Any leads on something tried and true?

Some use the positive lead from the E30 3-series, as well as the distribution block.
I used "one aught" = 1/0 welding cable, run through the center of the car from the trunk, exiting above the pedals (through a grommet), to the starter. Clamp-on end at the battery, soldered-on copper eyelet at the starter end. It took a bit less than 15 feet.

Andy, 2002performance sells the strut brace/battery box. I think they also sell the cables. Tim

^ +1.

I really like the brace/box idea ... who was the first to come up with that? Wasn't it RaceTep?

2002performance.com = racetep

I want one too, but I dont want to drill into my shock towers

anyone seen one that snugs up to it with bolts? instead of bolting though the tower?

Make your own, I did.

Pretty simple really, two bolts welded together in the middle with nuts on them push the strut outward to lock under the strut towers. Took a couple of hours to make. Would have been alot easier if I'd have used steel rather than aluminum.

Best pic I can find at the moment, I know I have a better one somewhere.

Well, I finally bought a test light. All I had to wind up doing was replacing the + terminal connection to the battery. DOH! Put in 4 new ngks since I loaded the shit out of the plugs. Wife was very, very happy!
