I just bought a new Z4 and I'm looking to get a set of snows for it. I've found someone who's selling a set of Blizzaks & rims, size 225/50 17 from his 2004 BMW 545i. Will these wheels fit my Z4? The tire size looks about right (I believe 3.0si's use 225/50 17).

Thanks for your help.

What is the offset of his rims and the width...

Will these wheels fit my Z4?

No. 5 series use a different offset and center-bore. Those wheels will likely bolt up but they'll stick out of your wheel well by like an inch. Also the 5 series wheel overall diameter with the tires are about 5% bigger than the Z4 sizes.

You are better off getting another set of rims from an none-M 3 series.

Do you think the 17" wheels off of an E36 M3 would fit?
To my knowledge, the Z4 wheels have a 40mm offset, but it's difficult to find the offset of other BMW wheels.

Thanks.

Yes, the e36 offset will fit.

Offset is entirely dependent on the width of the wheel, but rims that fit properly on the E36 M3 should fit properly on the Z4 non-M variant.

while we're on this topic, what do u think of the csl replicas wheels 19" with the ps2 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 or would u go with 255/25/19 and 285/30/19 sizes?

I don't even know for sure if the 275s will fit.

I orderd a set of 19/9 and 19/10 wheels with 245's and 275's.

I hope they fit!!

Let us know if they do and how much clearance, I need to figure out what R-comps I can run.

They are 19/9 with an et of 37, its going to be close.

I test fitted a set of BBS LM's that were 19/8.5 with an et of 32. They stuck out to the edge of the fender, plus 2mm.

If my math is write...ahh I mean right ;-)) Then it will be close, but they should fit if I dial in some more camber.

The rears are 19/10 and should fit like a glove.

The car is also lowered with H&R spings and should have the Evo Headers, CSL Cats, SS X pipe and SS mufflers.

Its coming along slowly, but nicely.

I found a nice set of Borbet 17s from an E46 with Blizzaks. However, tire size is 205/50/17. I know these are high profile, but will they work for my 3.0si?

Thanks

Cosmos515...did the wheels fit? I am looking at a used set of 19" (off an 06 E46 M3) for my 05 2.5 (245/35 and 275/30, offset???) and wonder if they will fit.

I don't know anything about wheel fitment so all comments are welcome.

Thanks

On my M I'm running:
Fronts = 19x8.5 ET35 with 245/35 PS2
Rear = 19x9.5 ET22 with 275/30 PS2
Fitment is perfect, no rubbing.

I thought that narrower tires with larger ratio was better than the low profiles all you guys are putting on for snow.

OP = Original Post(er)

I assumed it was Original Poster, wasn`t sure. Still, my question stands but The Hack answered it. I don`t know why he wants to put on wide tires for snow.

Sorry for the confusion. At some point the discussion drifted away from the original post to 19" wheel fitment. Hence my question. However, I am still unclear from inTgr8r response whether the 19x10 with 275/30 would fit in the rear.

I'm on 9.5 as per my post;
but it has been done with 19x10" ET25 BBS RGRs
IDK if they had any rubbing issues.
