Thank You Alpine003 10-27-2006, 11:39 AM You can buy new floor boards from many sources. I only had a couple minor spots and since they were going to be covered with carpet, the economical way was to just patch them. If you are doing a full resto or a concours style resto, then that is another story. Or if you want to be daring and pull off a Z06 style floors, use c/f or kevlar sandwiched honeycomb floors. :) Dickfruster 10-28-2006, 01:42 AM I have looked em up they are around $200 each. Dickfruster 10-31-2006, 02:30 AM OK. Iam making my own patch. So i got some sheet metal off the roof of some toyota (not sure), which seems to be be the same gage. The most surprising fact is that the gage of the pans is 22 if not higher.( I thought it should be at least 16-18). I can bend the old pan metal with my fingers. he he. Can someone elaborate on this, please? Or am I just over seeing something? Alpine003 10-31-2006, 01:27 PM I'm not sure if it's 22 or higher but it is definitely thin and nowhere close to 16 gauge. I'll be repairing a couple spots myself this winter. ayton 10-31-2006, 02:11 PM I have a 75 that I will be junking in a bit if you guys need anything specific I'll check the condition and cut it out for you...LMK:) |
