how the hell did we beat VT and lose to Clemson?

I cannot believe how VT is completely shutting down the Clemson run....

that game was awful. i mean, i know i'm not a paid football coach but i could see the changes that needed to be made early. unfortunately the things that we changed, we did in the last 4 minutes of the game which was entirely too late. that was just a piss poor game. i was really dissapointed with our offensive coordinater on this one.


bill, it wasn't that unbelievable they were shutting down the run, they were putting their entire team in the box. you would think we would run some play actions but i can remember 1 play action and we didn't even throw it, Will ended up running it. Will was playing like reggie ball too, missing easy passes. But i think part of it was that we waited till the end to start throwing and there was too much pressure at that point.

defense fell apart too.


Vt wanted to win, clemson did not. There goes our acc championship game.

I guess I meant "conceptually unbelievable" because, as you noted, Clemson did nothing to try to spread out the defense. Weird.

After last week's drumming of GT, Clemson was pretty much due for their let-down game.

MAN! I think our D gave too much respect to Proctor. VT just stuck all the safeties inside and dropped the LB's a little and committed 100% to stopping the run. This forced Proctor to beat them which he's evidently incapable of doing.

We got totally manhandled by VT last night. I can't believe the play calling. That game was a real letdown after last Saturday. Oh well shit happens. Time to go drink some more.
