I ran a compression test 1 187 2 195 3 200 4 197 5 200 6 197 I poured 1 teaspoon of oil into cylinder #1 then the compression jumped up to 207. Less than 5 minutes later I rechecked the compression on cyl #1 and it read 187 again. That wet test result could mean worn rings, but the dry number for cyl #1 (187) is within 6.5% of the highest reading of 200 so I think the compression is okay. I thinking maybe my valve guides might be the problem, but I don't get any smoke when I start the car cold. I always thought if the valve guides were worn I'd see smoke at cold start up since oil would leak down past the valve guides and into the combustion chamber. I will get new rear tires before I sell it. Chris, the second M3 looks bad asss,, I love the Avus Blue, one of the best colors ever created :buttrock LittleBlueBMW 12-15-2004, 10:24 PM Gotta love Blue. Guess what came back, one of the ACS wheels. Last I checked they were forwarded to NY. Still got credited back too. Hmmm what to do with them... What yah gotta have out of one of them, I wouldn't mind a spare. LittleBlueBMW 12-15-2004, 11:38 PM There is one uncracked one that could be made into a spare, there is even a tire on it. I'll let you have it super cheap (still trying to recover some shipping). The cracked ones will be made into a table or something cool. The guy moved and rather than forward them, which according to tracking they were, they were brought back and left with a postage due on the package. I am not apying a third time to ship damn it. I emailed him and never heard back. I have done all I can and will not mail them again. The box looks like it has been through hell too, ripped open on the side. I run 235/40 all around but if its gonna be a spare then I guess it really doesn't matter. LittleBlueBMW 12-16-2004, 12:28 PM 225 40, really too narrow for the wheel, I believe but I'll check. I didn't buy that tire size so you can't blame me. If there are no takers the tires will go to Discount tire for store credit since two of them are new. LittleBlueBMW 12-20-2004, 12:23 AM Happy Holidays! I am going to be changing the oil, maybe the brake rotors to get rid of the shake, flush the coolant, all after the holidays. I am going to Cali after my only final on Tuesday. tasmisr 12-20-2004, 09:33 PM happy holiday for you to... I took my car out today and it took me an hour to drive 20 miles... Leaving to Egypt this Saturday for a break from the cold... should be around 60F in Cairo :boink , I wish I would take the Z with me... LittleBlueBMW 12-21-2004, 11:16 PM My wheels are here and in better shape than I expected. The nitto tires need to come off, 255 and bald. Two could be refinished to get rid of a scuff. Also I am organizing a group buy an ACS Three piece spoilers. redwinqs 12-26-2004, 02:17 PM hope everyone had a merry christmas :buttrock anyone know a good place to pick up some Corbeau CR1's + brackets around the area? Or even a respectable online shop? Any help is appreciated :redspot DSrugis 12-27-2004, 11:56 AM Merry Christmas all. Hope everyone had a nice and safe holiday. Dave bmw318ti 12-29-2004, 02:50 AM Yo guys..im from Bloomfield Hills MI. The other day i was just thinkin to post somethin about a meet, try and get a few guys to meet up somewhere, that would be pretty sweet, so im in for sure, i cant wait! :redspot Let me know if anyone lives around the Bloomfield area and wants to get a group togehter a cruise woodward or meet up somewhere Peace - Dave DSrugis 12-29-2004, 09:45 AM I live in Clawson so we are pretty close. I will keep my eyes on the board to see if a meet forms. Any pics of your car? Dave bmw318ti 12-29-2004, 03:58 PM i cant figure out how to post right onto the page...it never seems to work... :help lou10it 01-01-2005, 10:21 PM As a UM alum and HUGE Wolverine fan, all I can say is that I thoroughly hate Vince Young and the Texas Longhorns... :mad On another note I got a chance to install my AA exhaust a few days ago and with the nice weather we had Thursday and Friday, take her out for one final spin. Love the way it sounds. :D Although now it's time to put her up for the rest of the winter. :( bmw318ti 01-02-2005, 01:38 AM Yeah dude...i couldnt believe that we lost by a point! i was pretty pissed... Have any meets formed yet??? :woot: We HAVE to get something together! :redspot redwinqs 01-02-2005, 01:40 AM go texas!! :buttrock :stickoutt LittleBlueBMW 01-02-2005, 03:52 PM What a quarterback, he would be better as a rusher than a QB since his yardage was better when he ran than when he threw. lou10it 01-02-2005, 08:13 PM we made him look like a friggin' superstar with all the missed tackles... it's like he lubed up before the game. One moment it would look like we had him and then the next he would be off and running. But I digress... LittleBlueBMW 01-07-2005, 02:18 PM He sucks as a QB. Some ass on the ESPN chose him as his QB for the all-bowl team, over Leinhart, Rodgers, and tons of better QBs. Still without him, Texass would have had it handed to them. So who wants to help with an oil change and maybe a coolant flush? We can even center a meet around it :stickoutt redwinqs 01-09-2005, 11:16 PM So who wants to help with an oil change and maybe a coolant flush? As beautiful in person as it does in the pictures? :) DSrugis 01-19-2005, 09:43 PM It looks good but I still have a little trouble warming up to all the new styling. I was impressed with the 330ci sport package for $37,000. Dave LittleBlueBMW 01-19-2005, 11:54 PM Getting sleepy and I still haven't found anyone who wants to go. So at the very least I need a garage and some help changing the oil in the beast. DSrugis 01-20-2005, 07:22 PM I have a garage Kristin but it is not heated...well...it is sort of heated but it takes a while because it is wood burning. I really don't have any day plans on Saturday if you wanted to change your oil here. Dave DSrugis 01-20-2005, 07:23 PM Also, I was wondering if anyone has a used set of stock front struts? I need them for my konis. They can be in perfect condition or completely blown. Name a price. Thanks. Dave LittleBlueBMW 01-20-2005, 07:37 PM Dave, sounds like a plan. Where abouts are you located again? Also we can discuss LTW flags for Avus Blue Cars. I have the oil and filter, is there anything else I need to bring? DSrugis 01-20-2005, 07:44 PM Nope...that's probably it. I live in Clawson which is about 45 minutes north of AA. I will PM you the info. Anyone else want to come over? Dave LittleBlueBMW 01-22-2005, 12:12 PM snow! They have finally started plowing it out. DeezBMW 01-22-2005, 12:48 PM I just spent 2 hours outside brushing the cars off and snowblowing the driveway/sidewalks. I'm not liking what I've been reading... did someone say snow? I'm down here in the beautiful country of Panama visiting family. Weather here is like 90 everyday and sunny. Ya'll are making me want to ditch work and stay another week! :) Since I've been here (Thursday), I've seen one expedition and one mustang, and no chryslers. The japanese automakers have this place on lockdown. there a re quite a toyotas and nissans down here that they don't sell in the states... maybe I'll be able to get some pics. I have seen quite a few E36s. No E36 M3's tho. Mostly 318s with the sport kit. I did see an E30 M3 yesterday. Looked really nice. Anywho, hopefully when I get back the snow will all be gone. I'll try to bring back some of this heat with me. :) LittleBlueBMW 01-23-2005, 03:57 PM K, so somewhere I saw that there is an open track event may 6th or so. Where did I see this.
