Just wondering if there was going to be a group from Seattle that was going to head down to Santa Barbara for BFest 07. I will be in the show this year with my 78 320i and will be going down with maybe a 535i and 325 AA turbo let me know if you are planning on attending it is worth the drive.

It's Cinco De Mayo this year.

Anyone complaining about "not putting the miles on" just doesn't get the concept of Bimmerfest and what it's all about.

I dont know if Ill have room but maybe one of my friends might. I was thinking about going in 05 but decided not too, when I saw the pics of the show I was soo mad at myself I went last year in my friends 535i but this year I completed building my car to where I almost want it and will put it in the show. This event is well worth it the entire freeway down there is all bimmers on every off ramp trying to get to the show. It is by far the best car show Ive been to.

there will also be a group from Tacoma/Portland mostly e30's but any one is welcome to join. Im sure more organization will be happining when it gets closer. Also we all need to reserve motels NOW, because they will all be full by the time Bfest comes around.

Everyone from the Washington Seattle area should meet up with the Tacoma guys on the way down and then pick up more people when we get to the Portland area hopefully this can actually happen because if it does that would be a hella sick caravan down. In reality it will probably be like 15 cars together with some lonesome people that might jump in here or there. Last year I caught up with a 2002 and a e30 m3 doin about 115 through a curvy part of the road down to Santa Barbara I left bf the guys from WA last year got pulled over for doing well over 120 E36 crew crossing into Oregon. Was that anybody here?

well if i go, i'll be rolling with the crow that drives responsibly. spirited driving is fine but none of this well over 120 stuff. keep racing on the track. anyone from around here gonna take it easy?

I was in the caravan doing 120, I slowed down into the town where they all got popped and thus avoided any tickets, and I beat them to the rally point. And they said my little e30 couldnt keep up. :redspot

Seattle caravans usually meet up with Portlands caravans, then we all drive together and get massive amounts of tickets.

I'm already planning on going... I got my hotel @ Motel 6

3505 State St
Santa Barbara, CA 93105

(805) 687-5400

My rough plans are to leave Wednesday after work between 4-6ish. Drive a good 5-7 hours into Oregon somewhere. And pretty much attempt to finish up Thursday and have all Friday to dick around and what not.

I think I am going to make the trip with my brother and dad. Have to make sure they can get out of school and work and then decide which car to take. I am pretty pumped as I have not been able to make any of the meets and this being the biggest one.
