View Full Version : New to BMWs -->335i Coupe
NMOTIANI 10-23-2006, 01:12 AM I currently drive a Acura TSX, great car but I want something more performance oriented. I have decided to get the 335i coupe with the following:
Sport Package
Steptronic w/paddle
Premium Package
Cold Weather
Seems like I can save some money with ED, any experiences with ED pricing. How much have people been paying for the 335?
thanks

Add up your numbers in the right column of the first page. The only additional charge you should be adding after adding base price (34740) and all your options is $695 destination and handling. Then add like another $800 to give to the dealer who will provide their services to help you out, and tax title etc.
Base +
Options +
695 +
~ 800 +
tax, title etc
Should save you around $5000
OC 335i 10-23-2006, 12:00 PM While $800 markup is possible, you're more likely to get $1000-$1500 markup + a set of floormats. Of course, YMMV.
NMOTIANI 10-23-2006, 02:04 PM This makes the car a lot more affordable! I can live with paying up to 1500 for the dealer, but I will start with about 800, thanks for the response.
OC 335i 10-23-2006, 03:23 PM I noticed you are from CT. Try to get all-weather floormats and possibly the all-weather trunk mat if they won't budge from the markup. Good luck!

I have been reading posts by other people who are doing ED, it sounds like many of them are getting it at the ~800 dollar range. Personally if $1000 is on the table I would take, little things like that might help the way the dealer will treat you when you return for maintenance and what not in the future. Floor mats would be nice
laztigger 10-26-2006, 09:27 PM I just ordered (10/11) my 335i for $500 over invoice, except the dealer messed up and forgot to include some type of training fee (he thought it was included in the base) which was $120. But the guy gave me a quoted fee, which actually came out to $380 over invoice, and he gave me the promised price.
If you live in CA, I can give you the guy's name, and he might give you the same deal. I went through my company, which has some type of perk with buying new cars, but who knows?

NMOTIANI, I got nothing but love for you for buying the perfect car, except... AUTOMATIC??? I would take stickshift driving lessons before I even considered buying a car like this. WHY?!?!?!?!
OC 335i 10-26-2006, 10:42 PM Training fee and Maco are included in ED invoice, hence why ED invoice was raised not too long ago. Regardless, you got a great deal.
eurotekm3 10-26-2006, 10:45 PM great car!!!! enjoy!!! just wait till they make aftermaket parts for the car....juts wondering do the make a 335i turbo in auto or SMG? I thinking about buying one for my girl.
NMOTIANI 10-27-2006, 04:39 PM Actually I am considering the six speed the problem is I live in the North East and Traffic is a $itch and I have not driven stick in 6 years. Actually I made the dealer at the infinity dealership scream on a test drive of a g35 6spd.
I was willing to give a dealer 1k over invoice w/
Premium Pkg
Sport
Cold Weather
6spd triptronic w/ paddle shifters
Metallic Paint
All season floor mats
ED 44,207 including 6% CT sales and destination
and he said no way. Any ideas??
Raivyn 10-27-2006, 10:12 PM eurotekM3: Yes, the 335i comes in auto - get the paddle shifters, though. I live in SoCal where we have alot of traffic, and after driving stick for the past 3 years, I'm happy to switch back to auto. The paddle shifters are very responsive, so it will still be alot of fun...only thing is the padle shifters are hard to use in a turn...
