vertical earl 10-23-2006, 04:24 PM The main thing I was wondering was the nicasil thing, did this car come with steel liners or were they replaced?
SehrSchnell 10-23-2006, 08:43 PM The main thing I was wondering was the nicasil thing, did this car come with steel liners or were they replaced?
That's not applicable in E39 series. Only E34 series (previous gen) from what I understand.

Yeah, the E39 has the M62 (E34 had the M60) which did not have the Nikasil issue.
Bump for a beautiful car!
(I remember lusting for your previous black 535 several years ago)

Thanks man. Yes, my beloved E34 535i was over at my house the other day for a visit. The owner actually is pondering upgrading as well so you all may see that car FS soon too!
BimmerFreak 10-23-2006, 09:03 PM What will be your next purchase? Do you already have the replacement vehicle picked out?

I have always longed for a E39 M5. Off the top of my head that is what I would probably seek. But then again, I have not driven this new 335CI yet and I here the reviews are pretty good. I still have a little bit of trouble with the overall look of it though. In my mind, the E39 is a classic body style.
My plan would be to wait through the winter anyway since I have the snow ferrari (Land Cruiser pictured) for the snow and the BMW would sit anyway.
Htownmobaudio 11-13-2006, 05:58 PM i think 97's are the best .. thank god 100 times i havent had anywhere near the amount of problems i hear about with other 540 i owners 98+

bmwlovr 11-19-2006, 07:16 PM what suspension setup are you running on your FJZ? Love both cars, in fact they have inspired me as I have a similar stable of cars (e39 and FJZ80)
PENER 11-19-2006, 09:28 PM bump for that sweet silver queen. I always loved that car. it should be a quick sale, good luck!
apollo322 11-19-2006, 09:42 PM Ok, how much for the snow ferrari? They are both beautiful cars, and you should have no problem selling that 540. good Luck!
SehrSchnell 11-19-2006, 11:28 PM Thanks for the comps on both cars folks. I certainly love the DINAN 5, but have this hankering for a M5.:devillook
The FZJ80 is running Old Man Emu 3" J-Springs with a front leveler custom made. Clears the 315's (35") tires with no issues. 154K on the clock and going strong, you have to love Yotas!
Oh and BMW's too! :stickoutt
onewhippedpuppy 11-19-2006, 11:56 PM Wow. Just....wow. One of the best I've ever seen. I love the 540, but given the choice between the two, it would require some serious thought. Beautiful scenery too, I wish I could take the wife's 4Runner rock crawling like that in KS.
SehrSchnell 11-19-2006, 11:59 PM Some fresh pics (taken tonight) of the DINAN 5. Got a new camera, trying to figure the damn thing out.

Thanks for the compliments, sorry to burst your bubble, BUT THE SHINE STARS ARE REAL!!!!! I can send you the RAW VERSIONS if you like! Funny thing is, THOSE MAIN pictures were taken with my cheap camera, the SONY 3.1 megapixel. Only the last three were taken with my new $1000 Nikon.
I PROMISE YOU, THOSE ARE REAL! I GIVE YOU MY WORD ON THAT!
OC 335i 11-21-2006, 07:52 PM Okok. I'll take your word on it. Regardless, I was giving you a compliment on the pictures. Photoshop or not, nice car and pics. GL with your sale!
