PM butterm3, i'm relatively sure he's used them a few times...
mtrsprt3/ny 12-17-2002, 07:49 PM Please,do NOT go there. They are complete pricks. They have screwed many people I know many times. They are very knowledgable but they will screw you. They will quote you for $1500 and when you pic up the car they will tell you they fixed other things and they will charge you double. I have seen it happen many times. They go ahead w/ work that was not approved by you. They put a junkyard tranny in my friends 325 and charged him for a knew one.The thing only lasted a week and they fixed it again. It broke a 3rd time a month later and my friend brought it to his uncles shop and showed him the used tranny they claimed as new.If you kneed more stories feel free to pm me.
Walden 12-17-2002, 08:16 PM thanks.
i have like 2 or 3 shops in mind.
i am not going to this one now!
thanks!
Robcast 12-17-2002, 08:45 PM These people screw me BIG TIME, STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!
KmanM3 12-17-2002, 08:54 PM Try Euromeccanica in Mt.Vernon. The owner is a former race team mechanic and is the tech adviser for the BMWCCA chapter. I highly recommend him. PM me if you need more details. :)
Distinctive 12-17-2002, 09:29 PM For Bmw specialists try GTS Motors in Bellerose.

Yup, Dave Bogert is a good guy too. I've ventured out that way. He's pricey, but excellent! Apparently the highest volume Dinan dealer in the country too!

Forget it.:dunno
butterm3 12-22-2002, 01:14 PM my take on little garage....
you need to know who to deal with,
if you deal with matt (the owner) you probably are getting a new asshole.....
if you deal with jeff you are somewhat taking a 50/50 with him
SO DO AS I DO AND ONLY DEAL WITH DEMOS.......
wait an hour or two if you have to (he runs around alot) he is really cool and will tell you how much something is upfront I have never overpaid when dealing with him and I sometimes have gotten freebies (dont tell no one!!!!)
all in all they do know what they are doing and it is easier for me to drive a few blocks and wait for demos than drive up to Conneticut or up to Mt. Vernon
