View Full Version : Special Thanks to MSR& Crew!
Black96m3 10-22-2006, 10:53 AM Just wanted to give a special shout to MSR for all the help with my tranny swap! I had done the tranny swap in my driveway... and if anyone know my driveway is small as shit! Bill W let me borrow his jack for a night to get my car down because my jacks broke. At 4 AM on a Monday night (Tuesday morning), found out had no Reverse or 5th gear. Great. MSR Saves the day! Got it all done at the shop yesterday (minus the wiring) and everything now seems to work awesome.
Thanks to Eddie for being an awesome friend and a sick tech! Eddie has helped me with all the auto-manual garbage! We got taking down a tranny in under 1 hr... pretty impressive.
Thanks to Bill W for the help with parts and being a cool as mofo! Hooked me up with a great tranny after the first one I put in was found out to be a POS. I really appreciate it!
Thanks to Dan for coming by the shop and helping me out with the swap.

Mike,
Looks like a poorly installed replacement windshield. Trying to locate the exact spot of the leak. If it's what I think it is, I can just seal it with some silicone and all is well. Had it in and out of the rain today... the water in teh back is from the W/S leaking and it was draining back there.
Keep em crossed, this may be super cheap fix.

Found 2 separate problems. Simple and seems to be fixed. Gotta wait for dampness to end to finish tho and spray/check/etc.
