I have a Holley 2 bbl carb mounted to a BMW manifold stamped "US 74". The Holley has "L6549" on it and 26 and 27 stamped on each throat. What is this carb? Is it a performance upgrade?
Thanks!

It was normally refered to as a holley/weber. I saw them on several BMW's but I don't believe fuel and air jets were as available for them as on a true Weber. Weber made a progressive 2bbl carb that worked well on the m10 There were three different versions 32/36 dgv manual choke, dgav water choke, or dgev electric choke. I will try to look up the application on the holley weber tomorrow. The holley weber was definately an improvement over the stock 2 bbl solex. Will try to post an update on applications tomorrow. good luck |
