Hi everyone,
What are your thoughts on the ride of the 3.0si with the sport suspension vs. the base model. I just ordered a sport, but I've read that some think it is downright harsh. Do you think it would be intolerable in northern NJ?
Thanks.

NO - get the Sport Package!!! It is a bit rougher than the standard suspension but much tighter, and with the other additions to the SP - you will have a better BMW and an easier resale if you ever want to replace it....

Roadster or coupe? For the roadster, the package cost $1200, comes with the sport suspension, sport button and Style 108 wheels that are 18". In my opinion, thats a bargain for what you are getting.
The sport button alone is worth 1200 by itself. I think the suspension is perfect for the Z4. It is the tires that make it a little bouncy on rough roads. I don't hate the run-flats like some others do on this board. But I don't care for them either. When mine runs out, I m putting on regular tires and get tire-goo. The Bridgestones actually has tremendous grip, but it is not communicative.
A lot of people also don't realized how short the Z4 is. That makes the car very darty and has a sharp turn-in with small turning radius. The car is a full 10 inches shorter than a boxster! It is bound to be like a terrier on the road, rather than a grey hound.
Plus I think the Style 108 wheels are the coolest and best looking BMW wheels of any available BMW wheels.
