First post here, so be gentle please. Ive searched prior to posting, and only found a little info about the cd player bit, but not much. My main concern is what would happen with the computer.

Basically, im looking to fit an after market cd player in my 728. At present, it has the standard tape bit along side the coin holder. Can the tape deck be exchanged for the after market unit, or is it not that simple? How would that affect the functioning of the computer, would it work without the stereo going through it?

Any help appreciated.

Yes, you can replace it. It will not affect the computer.
