This looks like an incredible deal! Likelihood of "bad" parts? Has anyone experienced buying faulty parts like this? Is this likely a "you get what you pay for?" Any experience with this seller?

hmmm... I think you'll get what you pay for. In other words, unless you're buying those to install on your worst enemy's car, I would stay away.

That dosen't look like a M5 bushing.. M5 bushing have no plastic insert.. It is a 3 way rubber bushing.. I running m5 bushing now.
you see a lot of those off brand thrust arm now.. the main thing is the quality of the bushing.. it will probably last only a year.. Ball joint may last 2 years.
if you get those you better make sure you torque the bushing at static height.. I would go as far as modifying the bushing with liquid urethane or 3m window-weld to make them last longer. some people even use liquid nail from home depot..
but just remember it will only last about a year then you have to do it again..

so get the lemforders w/ 750i bushings from BMA? Does the 750i bushing act differently/last longer than M5 bushing? If control arm is 5 years old, should I replace, or just get bushing (which only has 12k miles on it, btw)?

If you DIY. It is easier to just replace the entire arm. If you bring it to a shop they may have the tool to just press out the bushing without removing the entire arm off the car.
I have M5 bushings I think they are the way to go. BMA would tell you M5 bushing is a overkill and 750il bushing is preferred. M5 bushing may be too stiff if you want a comfortable ride.. believe me bushing will effect your ride quality.
Try them out. For that price and 30 mins of work, you can't go wrong. If they last only a few months, great. If they last years, great. Win-win!
Think for yourself, don't let the forum kiddies who regurgitate everything they've ever read without actual experience think for you.

I tried a set of those with the 750i bushings and they lasted about 50k miles. It was worth my $100 at the time. I got those because I did not have a lot of cash at that time. I recently installed Lemforders with poly bushings on my car and it feel is better.
