Is $41,820 a decent price for an 06 3.0i with sport package, premium package, heated and powered M sport leather seats, and Xenon headlights? MSRP is $43,820.
Thanks in advance.....

MSRP is $43,820. Thanks in advance..... There is currently $5K in dealer incentive available on that model. On a left over 2006 model, you should be getting 100% of that. I'd go back and ask for all of that with an offer of $36,820. That's a fair deal at the end of the model year. If your dealer won't do it, there are plenty who will. Good Luck. insmanblue 10-19-2006, 11:35 PM dwaynemosley is right. There is a $5,000 factory incentive to dealers on the 3.0i and a $7,000 for the 3.0Si. I got the dealer to come down another $3,000 so I bought my car (Si) for $10,000 under MSRP which turns out to be $39,000. Given that, you should be able to get your car for around $36,000. KPACOTKA 10-20-2006, 12:17 AM You can always check price at carsdirect. Dealers will honor it. For your configuration it shows as $36,680 Uol 10-20-2006, 10:42 AM I just bought an 06 3.0si, titanium silver, sport package, power top, xenons, heated seats, MSRP $46,420. Got it down to $37,300. I thought that was a good deal, but maybe I could have gotten another $500 off? Oh well. I thought that was a good deal, but maybe I could have gotten another $500 off? Oh well. good deal, they just priced it way to high. Uol 10-20-2006, 02:16 PM You don't think I overpaid, do you? I wonder how the resale value will hold up after 3 or 4 years. mojowkng 10-20-2006, 08:06 PM Thank you all for this input. Now, do you recommend that I go for the maintenance warranty for 1,295 (I keep cars for long periods....most recently 7 years).....and another twist...the local dealer has a $825 transportation cost as he is having the car sent from another dealer. I got my 06' z4 3.0si fully loaded (ZPP, ZSP, 205, 494, 522, nav and 711) for $45349 (MSRP $51645)... and a few days later found out they have a freakin' $7000 manufacturer to dealer cash for the 3.0si's ($5000 for regular 3.0i)... so i could've gotten something like $42000. :shifty YEVRAH39 10-26-2006, 04:49 PM You Cannot Win. Just Purchased Z4 3.0si With Everything Except Sport Pkg. List $49545. Had To Have It Shipped In From E. Coast To Sw. Had Them Add Electric Harness For Radar Dectector. Price Out Excluding Taxes $43,000, Now Think I Could Have Had It For About $1,000 Less. KPACOTKA 10-26-2006, 05:34 PM At least we know now that should wait until october to get a good discount for Z. toolfan 10-26-2006, 06:37 PM UofI, you got a great deal, if $500 is going to ruin your day, you need to rethink your life. Think of all of the people that bought the Z when there was no dealer cash, they paid $5000 more than you!!! Enjoy your car... mojowkng 10-26-2006, 09:49 PM I ended up with the 5 K off with the dealer eating the transportation costs and another $1800 off. Essentially got it for 7600 below MSRP. So far so good. One of you fellows mentioned an "electric harness" for radar......for all of my other cars, I just hard wire my V1 to the ignition.....do I need a special harness for hard wiring my V1? Again,.....thank you all.....your input led to major buck saving. Uol 10-27-2006, 06:20 PM Well, the car I originally wanted ended up being unavailable, but I ended up getting an exact replica, only it also included the premium package. I haggled a little as I explained that I didn't particularly care for power seats, so my dealer dropped the price down to $38,070 (a full $10k below MSRP). I was very pleased and have to admit that my dealer really went the extra mile in accomodating my needs. tinyhotles 11-07-2006, 08:08 PM Wow! I had no idea you could get such good deals. Does this apply to SF, CA? Or do I have to go elsewhere because when I go to carsdirect, the base model 2006 z4 coupe is closer to 39k. My local dealer has them at well over 50k! Do all dealers get these incentives? And can I bargain to get a z4 coupe close to or under invoice? mojowkng 11-07-2006, 10:52 PM It is my novice understanding that all dealers could access these incentives during OCTOBER. I do not know if the incentive continues beyond the month of October. Dvsone 11-08-2006, 10:35 PM Wow. can anyone confirm if the discount is still available in November? KPACOTKA 11-09-2006, 01:22 AM Did you check carsdirect? I expect that prices will go down and down for 06 model. Dealers need to free space for 07 model. I only can think that if 07 will be available only in December, then dealers can hold on price of 06 a bit to keep inventory. |
