Don bigtelbmw 10-25-2006, 02:01 PM I have almost new rear Bilsteins with new lowering spring. All done only 500 miles, just not my style. All in perfect condition and available now. £100 in the UK, overseas will be at your expense. 323I Junkie 10-25-2006, 10:12 PM I have almost new rear Bilsteins with new lowering spring. Let me guess, you lowered the whole e23 and the back is rediculous? I measured my car and simulated the drop. I want the front 1.75" lower with the back raised .5"..it looks mean like that. bigtelbmw 10-30-2006, 11:35 AM NO it did not look rediculous. It looked great. The rear end was just too hard for me as I live in the sticks and the local roads leave a lot to be desired. I will drop it again when I get softer springs and not using Bilsteins. 323I Junkie 10-31-2006, 09:47 PM Oh...My e23 sits so low in the back with factory springs I cannot imagine lowering it Bimmerhead 11-01-2006, 10:47 AM Check with VAC Motorsports. http://www.vacmotorsports.com/ (215) 462-4666 They had a line on E23 suspension components when I last had mine serviced. Matter of fact, I'm toying with the idea of having them install the M-Technik set-up next spring...if I do the motor along with...:rolleyes 323I Junkie 11-01-2006, 12:01 PM I too am interested in e23 suspension, but my issue has been ride. My L7 is supposed to be a freeway bruiser. Its high weight (4200 lbs empty) and bulky build make impractical for a track type car like the 535. The 535 has the Sachs kit from BMW and Im overjoyed, but thats too much srping rate for a seven. Plus, the back cant go any lower, infact, it should be raised. My car frequently has four to five people in it, plus luggage. The L7 is sort of my small SUV. I even plan to install a small trailer hitch fro one of those fibergalss teardrop trailers to haul helmets, tools, and camping gear in. The front though, sits like a rally car. All I want to do is drop it about an inch has anyone had negative experiences with different springs (stock and lowered) I also am looking for a rear sway bar. The car seems to be set up for a driver and passenger, three kids and a trunk full of luggage make it a little sloshy CMG 10-16-2007, 08:55 PM Just saving this |
