I'm being told that Z4MRoadster sales have not been as strong and the lease rates on that car are much more attractive than the Coupe. Something to the effect that a Roadster is going for $690 while a comparable Coupe would be going for almost $900.

Anybody know why the Roadster sales are so slow?

Probably because there's ~5 roadsters built to every coupe?

See '06 model year numbers. This is for all Z4s, Ms, coupes and roadsters.

I think MZ4 Roadster and MZ4 Coupe ratios are even worse. During the winter season Roadster sales decline while coupe/tin-top sales stay pretty consistent. End of year months are strong sales months, BMW probably wants to take advantage of that.

Yeah I didn't realize that ratio was almost 5:1....

Kev, why do you ask?? You looking? :D

Roadster sales here are slow... they are not overstocked, sales are just slow, nobody wants them here and I'm trying to figure out what. Coupes sales are hot ... those don't stay around long.

And yes... looking at 30month leases for a Z4M Roadster in RED :evil2

My local dealer has yet to get a coupe, but they have two M Roadsters, a silver and a black, sitting out front. They have been there for over a month now. I drove the black one. I think they sold one red Roadster and that's it. I live on the SE coast where the weather is conducive to owning a convertible, too. Over in Hilton Head, they have only one red roadster and haven't seen a coupe either. Both places are less than 250 miles from the BMW factory! Go figger. Oh, all the roadsters are loaded, including Nav, and the sticker are the $58k range.

The local dealer here is discounting $3,000 off of MZ4 roadsters.

There's no disputing the MZ4 Roadsters are a better value now with the factory stipend.

At one point I counted 12 MZ4 Roadsters on their lot. It's hard to move them when, if you consider it, the 3.0Si is only 65 horses shy of the MZ4. It's not like the E46 M3 where there's a 110hp advantage over the 330i/Ci.

Anyone here in the land of plastic t*ts considering a roadster probably won't give the MZ4 Roady a second look when they can buy an Automatic 3.0Si for a little bit cheaper. There just isn't enough people here in So Cal that knows how to drive a stick.

The majority of their E46 M3 verts sold were SMG. They stopped ordering the vert with anything but SMG long time ago.

Not to start a bragging thread or anything, but just to let others who may be looking know... Almost 5k under MSRP for me. My salesman said they are doing much more than that on the non-M Z4s too.
