Randomly, this thing is skipping like a rabbit on caffine. I tried to clean it with a cleaner disc. When I went to track 4 (the one with the brushes) the changer was like --> :confused . Afterwards If I tried to select the cleaner disc ofter playing a regular one the screen reads "NO DISC". This random skipping is irking me...radio stations suck these days. Any recommendations on a fix?

Your cartridge may be bad. My problem was certain CD slots were giving me the NO DISC message. I replaced the cartridge and the problem went away. I do get the skipping sometimes even after running a cleaning disk; I switch to another CD then back and it works fine. I'm seriously considering the DICE kit...

I am getting occasional skippin in slot 3. So, I stopped using it.

Anyone tried swapping a CD-changer for a DVD-changer? I think sealbeach740 did it, but not sure what his set up is...

$249.99 is also my understanding. The instructions I found here and on the other board are straightforward; looks like less than an hour DIY (I'll leave my iPod in the trunk). $300 labor is a rip-off IMHO
