Hi
I'm new to the Twin Cities area. Are there any BMW enthusiast groups/events other than CCA?
It's great to live in a city where there are s many Bimmers!

Small groups gather all the time. Bimmerforums is kind of dead right now but the E46fanatics.com Great Lakes region is very active. We met up about.. 10-15 times this summer and put on about 2 large meets of 30-45 cars.
I would definitely join E46fanatics but just for the regional section.. lots of get-togethers, cruises, etc.

don't tell him that....E46Fanatics won't let me sign up unless I give them $400 a year. Apparently other shop owners are paying that but I don't think I'm going to pony up. Stick around BF if you can.

If you're talking about enthusiast groups, check us out at DTMTheory.com. Click on the sig below and check out the website. Not much will go one this winter, but come spring there's some major stuff going on. We are "friendly" with the CCA, but not part of them. We're more tuner-oriented than they are. Also, we're not a bunch of cronies who are obsessed with spotlessly clean cars from 1976. There's nothing wrong with that, but we spend our time modding and helping eachother mod. We also have three sponsors, so check out the members page if you got a BMW.
Cheers!

well.. that i did not know. however, there's no denying that if you're not on E46fanatics for the regional section you are never going to a bmw meet..
on a side note - why dont you just join up as a human being not a shop owner? they dont need to know...

i did, he assumed it would be a conflict of interest i guess. Oh well it's a private website and he can do with it as he pleases. I see how he can't charge some and not others, either way I might pony up but I don't know if it would be cost effective in my circumstance.

Yeah, tough call.

If I am in the area I'll swing over and show it off. It's got some minor dings and scratches - mostly on the bumpers which I could easily replace with some RS4 bumpers to take care of that :devillook

Damn Justin, I didn't know E46fanatics were pulling that crap on you?? Eric is right in it being a good place to meet up locally and such, but worth the money for your biz...not so much IMO. Can't wait 'till you have my E30 all tied up! :P
