looks good Walter, you should notice something out of it in terms of sound and possibly some power.

why everyone one is selling their ss exhausts?? does it get rid of that infamous E46 M3 raspiness??

BTw- Madhatter, did you sell those other ACS parts or are they still available?

Do you have a SS mid-pipe (resonator eliminator) for sale???

yes I do, if it was delivered that is. BMP is by far the worst when it comes to completing orders.....

if it's sitting at my house, then it's for sale.

Make me an offer.

OK. I am confused. If you did not need it (decided not to get car) why didn't you just cancel the order with BMP? What did you pay for it?

I buy from BMP on a commercial level. I believe it was around $450 +/-, I'll have to see my CC bill.

I didn't cancel it since I was anticipating the car and not planning on cancelling it. By viewing this post I was reminded that I also purchased one too.

I visited a local high end BMW shop inquiring about exhaust modifications specifically lowering the backpressure.
The mechanic warned me about this form of old school tweaking.
He knew of 2 E46 M3's that had exhaust modifications done, to the effect of removing the cats and resonators. He had both of them return with their cars, complaining of unexplained bogging, and engines at idle just shutting itself off, sometimes even at a light. Both of them had their exhausts returned to stock, and understandably dissuades anyone that requests into this exhaust modification.
Now maybe if just the resonators are removed, this may alleviate this negative experience. But I think exhaust modifications on the E46 M3, other than just the muffler, may require some careful implementation.
If anyone has any experience with exhaust modifications other than the Muffler, please post your experience & opinion.

consider that SuperSprint does it's homework properly when they release a product on the market.

I was hoping it was slightly used so I could get a reduced price. Not fair to ask you to eat a loss when you can just return it to BMP for 100%. Thanks.

In my research and experience there is not much reason to swap the OEM muffler except for sound and some minimal weight savings. I have heard the OEM resonator is a small bottleneck worth looking at.

driveby, yes and no...why get it from them when they were all special orders anyways? I'll have one sitting and doing nothing, and since I'm an authorized SS reseller it'll also have the factory warranty as provided by BMP Design.

What is the price you want to get out of it? Not trying to play cat and mouse here ... trying not to piss off Mrs. Claus :boobies aka my wife.

Just got back from installing my pipe. Car sounds and feels soo much better. Has more of a "hollow, deeper" sound then before.
I recommend it!

BTW: I have the SSmuffler also.

Good to hear you like it.
Any adverse effects to your bottom end torque that you can tell?
Any effect to the 'rasp' that is associated with the stock exhaust?

Low end torque still feels strong, if not a little stronger, and the rasp is noticalby lower.

your initial impression on the sound level when you started it up?
