I am planning on taking the coupe back in to have it simonized which the dealer discribed as "baked on paint sealant". Does anyone here have experience with it? is it worth it?
thanks

Or does it get run through the car wash when its so dirty your embarrased? While dealers and some companies like to advertise their sealants/processes to last "forever", nothing does and in almost all cases the finish never looks as good as a well maintained and polished car. For what they will charge for this "sealant" you could pay for a professional detailer for a number of years, or buy all the products you need to care for it yourself forever. Caring for your car yourself creates an intimate relationship and you get to know your car very well and find it can be an enjoyable experience taking care of the paint. Plus it's better than psychotherapy! Bob:drink1 schwank 10-16-2006, 10:29 PM thanks for the posts guys... Im leaning towards doing the simonizing, and regular cleanings. Ive not been the best in the past with washing my car, but Ive never liked a car this much before either! |
