View Full Version : Wow Vishnu is a badass tuner glad to see him working on BMWs I like BMW 10-10-2006, 04:23 AM http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/shivpathak/1stvs2ndattempt.jpg 335i from 279 WHP to 331 WHP on an ecu reflash LinearX 10-10-2006, 04:26 AM How much $? I like BMW 10-10-2006, 04:29 AM How much $? prob under a 1000 his reflashes for WRX and Evo are 795.00 man this is making me want a 335i even more it has an exhaust and on 91 pump I imagine at 93 octane you should see even more of a gain. Also if you run an after market boost controler because that was only at 11 PSI. I am sure if you do 14 PSI plus pump gas you are looking at over 350-360 WHP. I dont know how safe this would be or if I would do this with my new 45k car. xceptor 10-10-2006, 05:04 AM Void warranty FTL. Vdbcrlp001 10-10-2006, 05:21 AM Void warranty FTL. Undetectable by factory ftw. T-Rex 10-10-2006, 06:12 AM Undetectable by factory ftw. +1000000 Ty Vil 10-10-2006, 06:23 AM Void warranty FTL. at the right dealership with the right service advisor (aka the motorsports guy) you'd be amazed some of the cars they were still covering warranty work on. ken_vs_ryu 10-10-2006, 08:18 AM I've heard mitsu guys don't like his stuff. I wonder if the will be a bmw markup. dmundy 10-10-2006, 10:12 AM I've heard mitsu guys don't like his stuff. I wonder if the will be a bmw markup. Some do some don't. Listening to the tuner discussions is like listening to two 5 year olds. The basic problem with any tune is it's either a mail in generic which can be pretty good, but you will always wish you had better, or a custom tune. If it's a true custom job, you are waaay ahead if you can find someone local that's good. That way when you change something on your car (diffferent exhaust say) you can reflash your car pretty easily. Purv944 10-10-2006, 10:33 AM I've heard mitsu guys don't like his stuff. What I've heard from talking to my friends about it is that Vishnu's stuff is expensive but they've never heard of anyone having problems with it. Kinda like Dinan for us, everyone bashes them but you've never heard of a major complaint. littleblue 10-10-2006, 02:14 PM Back when I had a WRX years ago, I had their "Stage Zero." It was great. Inv3ctiv3 10-10-2006, 02:48 PM Too bad Shiv is a jackass, one of my best friends dated him for a long time. I like BMW 10-10-2006, 03:11 PM Most will void warranty goes by dealer to dealer case some mitsu dealers are mod friendly others arent I like BMW 10-10-2006, 03:12 PM Too bad Shiv is a jackass, one of my best friends dated him for a long time. :rolleyes And what does this have to do with his ability to tune cars? All guys are pretty much jackasses when it comes to girls at some point prash 10-10-2006, 03:15 PM I've read about his work on Evo's and he has received nothing but positive reviews. He's committed to high quality and his results speak for themselves. Hugo 10-10-2006, 03:43 PM Not to be a jerk, but small 4-cylinder turbo cars are known to get huge power gains with a mere ECU upgrade. Throw in a bigger inline 6, it's not out of this world to see this. Throw in a bigger inline 6, it's not out of this world to see this. Audi and VDUB are completely undertuned. STi or Evo dont see this large of gains from ECU mods only. My point is this car is prob easy to tune. Evo, STi and 1.8T motors have been around for ever. Alot of research and developement has gone into them. This tuner comes over night and gets alot of power pretty much. Come on how much money do most of you spend on your BMW to gain 60 WHP? Cams? OBD1 conversion? Exhaust? Header? Intake? over 5k I bet. de Witt 10-10-2006, 04:04 PM Not a reflash, it is a piggyback. BIG DIFFERENCE. shiv@vishnu 10-12-2006, 04:02 PM Too bad Shiv is a jackass, one of my best friends dated him for a long time. :alright HOOJ 10-12-2006, 05:03 PM Well he better be, if he wants to carry that name, or there will be an angry deity out there... :devillook I like BMW 10-12-2006, 07:39 PM :alright :lol best reply ever :buttrock Russell328is 10-12-2006, 10:56 PM LOL, after that, I'm buying your chip, Shiv. gusterfan 10-13-2006, 12:25 PM I think it would be best to give Shiv a chance to finish developing and testing before people discuss if its good or not. He has given this forum great technical insight into the potential of the 335. I use to own a wrx and was on nasioc quite a bit. Though I am not a tuning guy, I and many other scooby owners have tremendous respect for what he brings to the discussion boards AND the cars. |
