NEW PRICES

- Rolling shell with a clear title (with front and rear M3 suspension, 3.23 LSD, brakes, tinted windows, H&R springs, all painted body work like skirts, bumpers, mirrors, etc.), and staggered double spokes. - $3500 (paid $4500 for the bodywork alone).
- OR - $2500 for the bare shell with all painted body work like skirts, bumpers, mirrors, etc.
- Powertrain (engine, trans - with AC short shifter) - $3500
- Black Vader Seats non heated, manual (front and rear) - $900

Once the big stuff is gone, then I'll start a different post with pricing on all of the smaller items.

Back to the original post.....

I have been working on this project for over 2 years now, and have just now gotten all of the parts together for the project. The car is a 93 325is, and the bodywork was just finished (over $4500 in bodywork, paint and prep).

I also have a 96 M3 donor car that the powertrain was coming out of, and it is still a running/rolling car (but not for long).

I have complete black vader interior, complete Climatronic swap already done, black carpet installed, and it the project will finish as a rolling chassis with full M3 front and rear suspension and brakes, and 3.23 LSD.

I can sell the complete project, or part it out, whichever I can do to get the most money.

I am posting pics of the car at the bodyshop while it was being painted, and will have pics of it how it is now in the next couple of days.

The paint is Lagoon Blue pearl, factory 04/05 VW Jetta GLI color, it is gorgeous in the sunlight. The twist side skirts (in awesome condition, no cracks, etc.), M3 mirrors, front and rear M3 bumpers, etc. have all been painted to match. The rear window and rear pop out windows are all dark tinted, and look excellent.

The project is obviously only about half way to the finish line, but I need to sell everything off together, or piece it out. The shell is a clear title 93 325is, and I'll be trying to sell all of the shell and body parts together.

Here are a few pics to get things started, and will post more later, along with a full list of parts and prices for what isn't being sold with the shell.

Let me know if you have any questions,
Dean

Im interested, but cant leave a PM for one reason or another. Im just over in Hillsboro and would like to take a look. How finished is it? Does it just need to be "put together"

Yea, it really just needs to be finished putting together, I have literally everything except a small list of little stuff.

Call me on my cell, and I'd be glad to let you come over and take a look at everything.

My cell is 503-327-6445

also wonderin the price.

Well, I need to get as close to the $10K to $11K mark as I can. Even though over $15K is invested, there is easily $11K just in the big parts if they were sold separately.

I have a tentative offer right now for $7000 without interior, so shoot some offers at me.

If you go the route of parting, I'm deffently intrested in the shell.
however NEVER go back to those guys who painted it. Bercause parts should be painted in the form their going to hang. NOT LAID DOWN FLAT!

whats insurance cost you on the car..do you get 325is insurance rates?

gold503
10-25-2006, 09:15 PM
Yeah you should get 325is rates because you will be using the 325is vin, although oftern times you insurance company will ask you if the car has been modified from it's stock form....

I have seen this in person and looks great someone should definitely pick it up, there are a hand picked parts and it will be great car once its together.

They will be if I find someone that just needs the shell, without the wheels I can't roll the project around (since those wheels are on the project now, and the donor is almost totally parted out.

So what was wrong with the black M3? Was it in a wreck or something?

So what was wrong with the black M3? Was it in a wreck or something?

Yea, rearended, shortened by 14". Additionally, it had a rear clip already swapped, as well as the drivers side lower sill (behind the skirt), it was a total hack job, and was rusting where all of the work was done (no sealer, nothing).

I'm sure it could have been rebuilt "again", but it looks like it shouldn't have been rebuilt the first time.

I'm looking for an M3 track car, so the looks are not important. How much would you be willing to let that car go for? PM me or call my cell 307-231-4185
