View Full Version : Throttle hesitation when cold

Searches brought up people's throttle hesitating after getting off of the throttle from 4000 to idle. Mine is the other way around.

When I first start the car, upon initial takeoff (just driving out of the garage), my throttle bogs from 1000 to about 200 or so then catches up. It just gives me the feeling as though the throttle is delayed and then catches up.

Anyone experience this? Related to FI at all?

Are you letting the car fully warm up? My car runs like poop if I don't let it fully warm up.

No. Not fully.

I've never experienced this in my old S50 M3, so just wondering if this is S52 or FI related.

When my car was stock, it ran roughly only upon startup...but once you drove, it would go away. Since I put my blower setup on, I've noticed that it's very important to let the car fully warm up...there's a huge difference in the way the car feels if I let it get up to temp.

Ditto. It's pretty damn near impossible for me to allow myself to drive the car unless it's at least partially warmed up. Im usually aware of this by the check engine light going away (except idle).
