Had it for week, I'm impressed, loved the Cars CVT with manual mode, it was a blast. The Car pulls hard (It's a 5 cylinder) Gear ratios as a whole are awesome, and out of the hole it really screemed. I raced everything that rolled up next to this thing, it was a real contender, especially from a dead stop

Also drove my Brothers New E500 Seven speed Auto, there again nearly seamless Gear ratios across the board make these New Cars extremely quick from a dead stop.

New Jetta gets a Big thumbs up, even though the Styling IMO was terrible

what kind of jetta was it? the only experience i have to go off of is my friend racing one in his rsx-s, and the jetta was a joke compared to it. although i assume that as with all jettas the base model is lame, and there are better versions, but i dunno :dunno

The 2.5 Jetta doesn't offer CVT, just a 6-speed automatic. I've read quite the opposite in terms of power delivery with that engine.

The 2.5 offers decent power, good torque and exellent power delivery.
By no means is it a rocket ship, however it will take off in 5th at 80mph and brake triple digit speeds with ease. The 5cyl delivers its power down low, starts to fall on its face higher in the revs.

The egronomics of the cockpit are nice. Several storage compartments, HVAC/radio controls are located conviently.

Heated seats and leather can be added at an attractive price.
A 6 disc in dash changer that reads Mp3 discs is offered in the package with leather.
Satellite radio is available.

Visability out the windshield is good. Not many blindspots when driving/changing lanes.

As far as quality, they are good.
Oil change with synthetic is mandated every 5k, will run you about $72.00+/- at the dealer.

Factory bumper to bumper warranty is 4yr/50,000miles

They are actually lowering the base MRSP of the Jetta $1k for `07 models. I think the 5-door GTI would be a sweet daily driver.

Im looking at 07 Jetta Wolfsburg edition today to get as daily driver. Can't afford the GLI or insurance/temptation of modding the GTI.
