Are any of you guys running an aftermarket Electric water pump to either replace or supplement the stock belt-driven pump? If so, how do you like it?
Or, could you guys recommend a good universal electric water pump?
I have a 3" underdrive pulley and it's pretty nice, but it's turning the water pump too slow at idle & slow speeds (and it's making my turbo timer useless).
The stock crank pulley works fine, but can't use it since I have a crank position sensor setup specifically for the smaller pulley. And I've done just about every other tweak to get the most cooling out of the current setup: smallest & latest m10 water pump & pulley; thermostat delete; and hot coolant exits from both the front & rear of the head and dumps into a big 2-row aluminum radiator (nearly 3 times more volume than stock).
Thanks, and any feedback about electric water pumps in general are welcome.
