Right now with my `97 318ti using `96-`99 m3 front strut hats swapped and E30 M3/`95 M3 control arm bushings I have that much caster. Should I swap the strut hats back for a bit less caster? Mostly street use and I have 2 1/4 negative camber.

Not sure if the alignment specs are different for a Ti, but for an E36M3 caster spec is 7.1 to 8.1. Using CC plates, I can't get that much so I run the max I can at 6.8. I doubt if 6.25 would be a problem.

thats good caster, are you using the lower control arm mounts from a 95 M3 also? those would give about another 3/4 degree of caster

Why? You're not really gonna get "too much caster", these cars love it.

I'm running 7.5-8 deg caster up front on swapped 96+ M3 hats, -3 camber, and just the slightest toe in.

Stock (new) control arms with solid outer ball joints. I realized 6 1/4 now is nothing...my friend was running 8.1 on his 5-lug E30 (he used E36 M3 front subframe)
