My ASC light never turns off anymore from the moment I turn the car on till I turn it off and the button does not toggle it on/off either. I never realized how often it must have been engaging until now that its always off and I get tire spin all the time. Has this happened to anyone else?

It happens to me when I disconnect the MAF sensor to get the car to run on its default fuel/timing map, or when I otherwise trigger a MAF fault. Scan for codes and you should get something, even though the SES light isn't illuminated. Fix the fault, clear the code, and the light should turn off.

What he said. I bet that this is an indication that there is a fault in the traction control system.

when you find out why this is happening make sure you post it on the forum - I'm sure there are a ton of people here who'd like to do it intentionally
