I have a 2000 M5, Im getting a clunk noise when I let go of the clutch to start driving in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. I noticed a leak in my differential.

Do you think I need to replace my differential? Is the clunk sound normal for this M5? Thanks for your help.

guibo issue or center bearing support issue? when those both begin to go, the driveline shows lots of play in it. guibo is the rubber bushing that is between the trans output shaft and the start of the driveshaft. center bearing is the center support where both halfs of the driveshaft join and connect.
