s20 you can buy them at the gate. i believe you can order them online but im not sre i just get mine in the mail for free. which is really the best way to go if you can. if your scca you can sign up to work that weekend and theyll give you fre tickets.

ya, a buddy of mine is going to be working one of the tow crews that weekend so he's getting a free ticket for a friend of mine as his late birthday present, he's trying to hook up me and my buddy with them but if all else fails i'll be either buying my ticket at the gate or preordering it online. i bought mine at the gate last year for 55 bucks for sat/sunday. with the safty crew pass you get friday tossed in there as well and i think you can walk around the pit areas too. but i wouldnt mind meeting up with some of you to talk ALMS or bmw's in general so i thought id get a head count started and maybe the weekend of we can sort of collaborate and decide on a central ish meeting poing.

he's SCCA and is trying to talk the organizer into getting some extra tickets. but for those wondering the event will more than likely NOT sell out, the track itself can hold about 200k people *according to my friend* and last year there were about 50-70k people there. so buying a ticket at the gate wont be an issue. it sounds like i'll be cruising up there on friday night, so people send me a PM or post here or something so we can get together and drink some beers or something.

you can buy tickets at teh gate for sure. but the tack wont hold 200k people thatd be for teh whole weekend at motogp maybe. and gl getting more tickets from teh scca ive tried and its never happpened for me.

This is the 4th year in a row for my two Teens and I. We're driving up in the "M" Friday morning. Not sure if were doing Hwy 1 or 5 - 198 - 101. (we come home 25 - 198 - 33...hours of fun every year)

I'll be doing the parade lap...the boys really wanted it and I'd not done since early '90s on my old Ninja.

I'm down for Sat. Should be a good event, and the last appearance for BMW in the series for at least a year. So bring your BMW gear and cheer on Auberlen and the other PTG guys!

BTW, 200k counts are grossly overstated. Monterey County limits spectator count to 50k/ day to minimize the impact on high-end homes on adjacent hilltops. ALMS probably draws 25-30k/ day at best.

go 300 potentially even a 400. a great lens would be nikons 80-400 vr. youll like it when your near the corkscrew and part of turn 2 as well as turns 9-10

Depends on where we will be, when I was at the corkscrew I was using a 70-300. To get decent close shots @ the corkscrew I reccomend something thats minimum 200-300 mm. Where are you gonna rent your lenses from? I'll see if I can get a hold of VR if possible.
