Hey all, just a heads-up that DTM Theory is holding a meet on Sunday, October 8th, 2006 at 4pm at the shop of our new sponsor, Top Hat Customs in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Everyone is encouraged to come out, especially non-members. We'd love to see you! The meet begins at 4pm and will go until everyone decides to leave. Sam Rosen from Top Hat Customs will be showcasing the new shop with custom wheel samples, AC Schitzer and other top-name body kits, and Andre will be showcasing the new Audio install facility for Streamline Audio.
Location is Top Hat Customs at 9919 Valley View Rd, Eden Prairie, MN 55344
Phone Number: 952-992-9126
Meet time: 4:00pm (after the Vikings game!)
The website, tophatcustoms.com will be up shortly with a map.
For those that do not know who DTM Theory is, we are a BMW enthusiast group in Minnesota. We currently have a number of sponsors, and Top Hat Customs is our newest, and this meet is to see their new shop. Check out the DTM Theory website at dtmtheory.com or click on the banner/sig below.
Also, anyone from the area is welcome to become a member. Just go to the CONTACT page and shoot us an email using the Membership link. We're looking for members. We currently have about a dozen right now.

Andre is the sound guy with Streamline Audio which is in the back of the store of Top Hat Customs. I just talked to him for about 15 minutes, but he really really knows his stuff. His specialty is audio systems made to look stock. Unless you specify otherwise, he mounts everything using stock mounting points and holes and makes it look stock but sounding great. He also knows a ton about laying carbon fiber and other things like camouflaging satellite radio receivers and such. I was in awe. The shop he has looks great, and he's a stickler for professionalism and cleanliness, so I suspect the quality will be amazing. I'm definitely going to them when I upgrade my audio.

The weather forcast from weather.com says mostly sunny and 64 degrees. PERFECT!
Also, Vikings game has been rescheduled, so don't worry about that one.
Dinan S3 10-04-2006, 08:44 PM i'll try to make it out there
Reedo 10-04-2006, 10:50 PM Glad to hear it guys! If the Twins lose again on Friday (which I hope they don't), the Vikings game will be back on, but the meet's at 4pm so plenty of time after the game to get over there. Check out dtmtheory.com on the events page for more details. There's a map too, and for some reason I can't post anything on this website. It says I'm not allowed. So check out the site!

Reedo,
You need to have 10 posts before you can put up links. Let's see a couple pics of your car to get you there.

Anyone can come, and I would seriously encourage you to come out. If you've never been to one of our meets, I can tell you that you'll like the group. We're very easy-going and love when we have new-comers. Our last meet had almost 30 cars and the one before had almost 40. I would really encourage you to come on out and not only check out DTM Theory, but even more so, check out this new shop. It's small, but cool. And if you become a DTM Theory member (currently free membership), you'll qualify for certain discounts with Top Hat Customs as they're one of our sponsors. If nothing else, come on out and say hello.
Reedo 10-05-2006, 01:33 AM Hmm.. still won't let me post URLs, images, or smilies
Hmm, maybe they changed it since I was a noobie.
If you can't post pics of your car I will.

I can't say for sure, but given the time of day, I don't know if we'll be around that long. If you're going to be in the neighborhood, it'd be worth your time to check it out, but if you gotta out of your way to get there and you don't get off until 6:30 from work on Sunday, then it may not be worth it. I don't see myself staying there for more than a couple hours, but maybe a couple others will.

Sounds great - as a vert, I really want an OEM look (i.e., not to call so much attention to it externally so as to encourage some jerkoff to cut into the top to get to the sound system). Looking forward to the GTG

It's at 4. You should still come on out!
By the way, looks like it's going to clear up from here on out, so everyone should be okay for their cars looking pretty.:cool
Reedo 10-08-2006, 08:22 PM Thanks to everyone that came out. We had 10 cars show up, which I think is spectacular given the short time-frame for planning and the time of year. Sam and Andre were very appreciative of us showing up and checking out their shop and were anxious for us to come back and visit when the shop's 100%. They were also very interested in being involved in later events, and I for one would like them to be there. We may do an event with them later with a Porsche club and maybe others. It might be one big Euro meet, which would be really cool.
Top Hat Customs and Streamline Audio are very high quality from what they've shown, and I for one look forward to working with them more in the future. I know I'll be getting my wheels there for sure.
Sam reinforced that he would give everyone great prices on wheels, and would guarantee excellent service. In addition, DTM Theory members could look forward to a little bit of a discount since Top Hat Customs is one of our valued sponsors.
