If you have not heard, it is now official, San Antonio, TEXAS! Now has a Z3CCA area representitive. YEP ME ... PLUS, I have completed my garage project, which included the installation of a work area, storage, etc. Unfortunately I have misplaced my digital camera, so no photos for now. I promise to post photos, once I track down my camera.
As to why I wanted to be a TEXAS! Representative for the Z3, here is the story. Before Cindy and I finally settled down, I was investigating to see if the BMWCCA or Z3CCA had any area representatives. I checked the Z3CCA website and talked to Rhine West of San Antonio about the BMWCCA and noted that the only area representatives were in the Dallas-Fort Worth area (Tom and Fred) - - WAY NORTH OF HERE! Plus, the San Antonio area was very weak on getting the word out on our most excellent cars! Way it sounded; BMWs in general were and still a rare breed down in the Hill Country. However, I have seen my fare share of Z3s driving around the Bandera/1604 areas.
After a slew of emails back and forth to Al Arena of the Z3CCA, I was approved.
I plan to get some road trips and maybe “Fix-It-Days” in the coming new year. I would like to have it planned with our Austin, Houston and D-FW buddies.
With the Oktoberfest 2003 being held in Austin/Houston areas, I cannot think of a better way to conduct road trips to check out the fun stuff going on. Unfortunately, with Oktoberfest being close by, and other commitments, I might have to skip Homecoming 2003. But we will see.
So until I can find that damn camera, I really am proud of my garage now, keep a favorite page hyperlink to my website for any details. I will have a dedicated page for the happenings and going on's.
