Or something like that. My roommates and I never keep our front door locked because the lock is a little screwed up and you have to fight to unlock the thing. We also almost never keep our cars locked cause we live in the Homewood Circle subdivision in Ooltewah. Big mistakes, both. Friday at around 3 in the morning our house was robbed. The theives walked into the house, took my roommate Jon's laptop off the dining room table, our PS2, and 40 dollars out of my wallet. They then walked over to my unlocked car and broke open my glovebox, but didn't take anything out of the car.
Here's the weird part though. They took Jon's computer and my other roommate Hyatt's PS2, but not the X-Box that was directly underneath the PS2. We had our old PS2 on the coffee table 5 feet away from our TV, but they didn't take that one. They took money from my wallet, but not my credit or bank cards, or my 800 dollar Mac iBook G4. They broke my glovebox, but didn't take my stereo or iPod. So we're thinking that they know us. A police report has been filed, but it's pretty safe to say that all that stuff is gone. Dammit.
