My rear passenger side door will not unlock by both using my key and the unlock button on the inside, can anyone help me out? i tried looking on 38.org but didnt have to much luck. Its kinda ironic too, i just had it inspected and then this started to happen same with my check engine light coming on

If you can confirm with a mechanic that it's your door actuator I can help you out. Mine went out and I was not able to unlock it for nothing. I was told that my actuator gave out in the dead bolt position. I was told from the dealer they could fix but they had to RIP the door panel to get to it and open the door. If it's your actuator you will have to take the door panel out from the inside. Don't worry if anyone here tell you it cannot be done as I was told. It CAN be done and pretty quick as well. I can do it in less than half an hour. And that is because I know now how to do it. Let me know.

also im going to stop by the local BMW specialist on my way home from school this week to see what they can offer for any help. and hopefully they can figure out why the check engine light came back on

I'm trying to help you out and all I asked was for you to confirm it's your door actuator dude. Is that alot to ask? The actuator is what mostly goes out and that side of the car. Believe me nobody will help you get it open an NOBODY has the answer on how to fix it when you cannot open the door. I have searched and pm'd many people and they did not know. I did it and it is a lengthy process that I am willing to explain and even with some pics for you but you ignore my post so hope someone helps you out.
