Hey guys, I was wondering if you have any experience with this head unit
I just picked it up and want to put it in today but I read a review stating that it will not playback video while moving.

I have googled and came back with hits but there is no solid consensus....

Do I Ground out the Green wire thats supposed to go to the Parking brake?

Do I have to put a switch in to only show the deck ground on that wire after the deck initalizes?

I have also heard there is a way to trick it with a loop through the remote and backup camera wiring????

I'm lost all of it seems to be different and most posts on this are for the AVIN_C models and some have stated the procedures are different for the AVic-1,2,3, avh 5700 - 6900 blah blah....

Have any of you here cracked this playback while driving issue on this model\\\pioneer AVH-P5700DVD ???

Thanks in advance.....

ground the green wire that goes to parking brake. That should do it IIRC

So you have wired up this deck before eagle? I thought I had read that the p5700dvd is too new to do it this way because it checks to see if the parking brake wire is Pre-grounded before it initalizes?

no i haven't done this one (misread it as 7500, sorry), but other than the avic n2 & n3 all pioneers have been that way. The later avics used the speed sensor as a secondary interrupt.

Best bet is try it, and see what happens. Worst case you can do a toggle switch or a time delay circuit that would close it to ground after an appropriate time.

Just attach the green wire to your ground. You will be fine. I have a 7000.

Same thing...

JUST GROUNDING WONT WORK! if its the newer model it has to see ground open ground. simply ground the green wire out and have a toggle inbetween it, or wire up a relay!

Sorry to bring this thread from the dead but I would like to know how the relay was wired up. I'll be buying this head unit in a couple of days.

So just put a toggle switch between the ground and that's it?
