Hey, wassap...
ight my e30 was totalled yesterday from a ryder ran running a stop sign. sigh... so im exploring some of my options. really intrested in a e21 since theres a local 320i for sale, 50k orignal miles for 1500 but its this nasty light blue color. anyways theres a few things i hate about it, the freakin long ass metal bumpers. can they be tucked in like the e30's? also i want to throw on a nice front lip or valence sort a say than i'll be real happy with the syting once bumpers r tucked hehe. so if u guys can let me know about these cars, throw me some infos and by all means show me some nice pics with the US version with a nice front lip and valence. i'm debating on goin to e21 or stayin with e30s since there sick but all old bmws :buttrock

:( That's the color of my car. It's not nasty!

Anyways, I don't know if the bumpers can be tucked as I am new to e21s myself, but it's possible to swap on the euro bumpers, which will look better than any bumper tuck in my opinion.

Check for rust on the shock towers, floor, trunk, and rocker panels. Mine has some rust and I have to take care of it right away. That should be one of your main concerns.

e21's are a lot of fun. I don't know how they compare to the driving experience of the e30, but I prefer the feeling of the e21 better than any other car I have driven. The car is so simple, and you feel really connected to the car/road. They don't have a ton of power, but they it's definately pretty quick and fun to drive. I also don't beleive it takes a whole lot to get it to similar HP numbers as the e30.

Good luck, and sorry to hear about your e30.

yes, you can tuck the bumpers. theres a couple link out there which i have none of them handy right now. but also said above, you can get the european bumpers which look by far the best! with european bumos and a nice front valense, your looking at about $1000. or just tuck, and thats free.

No offence, a e30 is a glorified E21.
You can tuck the bumpers by drilling the shocks out and releasing the fluid.
You can also buy from spoilers from places such as www.bmw2002.com(mike ireland) and from www.kormanfastbmw(Ray Korman.) I have the Kormans motorsport front end(original pressing.) The new ones are better/lighter than mine.
There are engine options, most of us like boosting the m10. Why? Well, because its a bullet proof engine. You can swap m20s in, if you prefer the e30 trend.

some guys just take the bumpers right off. There are a few good looking cars w/o bumpers in my opinion, and lowering the car 1.5" sets it off nice. Good luck with the e21, its fun!

There is a lot of difference between a six cylinder e30 and a four cylinder e21. We have both, like them both, but keep in mind they are very different experiences.

I would personally stay with the E30.
