Today I had the clear bra done and finished the Audio.
The system sounds amazing, no one makes better Boxes than JL.
JL 10wvw Box, JL XR speakers, JL Wires, JL 300 and 500W amps behind box.
Alpine Headunit and MP3 changer plus V1 Hardwired.
NO DIMMING at full blast either….
The box is mounted on a custom platform inbetween the wheel weels. We velcroed the mount to the floor and to the box, then we have 2 supports bolted behind the box so it won't slide around. Still very easy to remove and shed 52 pounds if needed. Also the box is pushed all the way back and I still have ample trunk space.
The DynoMatt makes the system really sound great and the rattling of the trunk is basically gone. It also cuts exhaust noise in the cabin, I can hear the motor now! edit, the DynoMatt is also under the the bumper back cover where the tool kit is.
Now the weight is probably around 80-90 pounds with everything.
I did take out the stock HK Subbox and the car does not have a sunroof or power seats.
So the weight is probably still less than if the car had a sunroof, HK subbox and powerseats.
Now the clearbra was a cutout kit that Chipsaway in So Cal installed in my garage.
Lights, mirrors, hood and bumper. Looks great and with this color I really needed it.
Next week it's PSS9's, UUC sways, pedals and clutch stop, rouge eng bolt on rasp pipe (exhaust). Also CDV removal (clutch valve removed to improve shifting)

Hey Vadar13,
Are you happy with the rejex treatment on your wheels? I've picked some up as well but haven't had the time to apply it to my new wheels. Did you let the product sit for 1/2 day before removing?

Thanks,
Michaels

on the JL 1000/1 amp they got a output knob (Bass Control, it adjusts much differently then the preamp bass control) :) Im thinking about upgrading to the A seris amps... heard anything good?

BTW what do you have done with your valentine? I like :)

Never seen that knob. I always use the slash series, they rule..
The A series would be a downgrade actually I think..
My V1 has the remote display hardwired right where I can see it perfectly.

where is the actual V1 mounted?

Um why is the 1000/1 wierd looking? I thought you used a 500/1

ya looked at your original post... that knob is an easy install into the Cat 5 port in the back of the amp.... When it is turned all the way up the bass gets louder then it does without it

I edited my post..
The V1 is to the right of the rear view.
I had a 1000 Slash and it did not come with a knob, weird..

Oh my........all the extra weight!! :)

This thing ain't no street racer, it can be w/the box out.
Remember it came w/o lots of extras, so the weight evens out.
