:mad PERFORMANCE PARTS STORE SUCKS!!:mad

Kind of long but please read.

I bought rear shock mounts and bump stops for my car around Aug. 21. Later that we I was suppose to install them but needed up in the hospital, so I could install them anyhow. But two weeks later when doctor said I could go back to doing what I want,:redspot I still had yet to see them. So I called and they said they were on "back order".:( So I was like "ok" so I found some elsewhere and order them. Well I called PPS back and canceled my order and they informed me that they would credit back my paypal account (this was on Thursday). Well the next week I yet to see money and my account so I called back, and one of the guys said it would be the following week when his boss return to work because only he could do credits.:shifty So I was like whatever. Well I waited till Thursday and nothing still. So Thursday evening I call and get a record that say all mail boxes are full. So I wait about an hour and try again. Still nothing! Hmmm this is when it started to make me MAD. I know it was only like 52.00 dollars but still that’s 52.00 dollars! And it’s been almost a whole month and I have on money and no product in my hands! :mad

I'm thinking about filing a claim with paypal, but not sure how? What do you guys think I should do?

Sorry to hear about your troubles man. I'd try to contact them through here like an earlier post recommended. It seems the paypal disputes rarely work out in favor of the buyer, but good luck with it. If you paid with a credit card, you can dispute the charge with your credit card company and they will give you back the money. Then, the credit card company takes the money away from paypal and paypal will then go after the company for their money. Hope that sentence makes sense. It is a major advantage of using your credit card on paypal instead of deducting directly from your account.

What happened to PPS? They had an awesome brake package GB that everyone and their mom jumped on. Did they get new management or someone die?

The only way to get a hold of them is to call. You won't get anything done with emails. They ruined 2 weekends for me. Took 3 weeks to get something they had in stock.

Threaten them with a lawyer.

I think that is going to cost a lot more then $52.00 :lol

File a claim with paypal and try calling again.

I placed an order with PPS almost a month ago. A got a confirmation e-mail, but the tracking # didn't work. I called Craig and he said that they were having problems with their warehouse. I waited a little while to see if the warehouse problem got fixed. I called and left a message, but no response. As of right now, their webpage doesn't work and the phone keeps ringing. I'm going to be calling my credit card company next.

Do not by from Performance Parts Store (aka PPS).

I checked with my credit card company and they didn't bill me, which is good.

Considering all the problems others are having with PPS, bf.com should consider dropping them as a sponsor.

have them check again because my credit card company told me they didnt see a charge, so I called back and when they checked again they found it. Maybe you lucked out but they def took me for $350 and after looking at their "customer feedback" on their webpage i should not have dealt with them

Dear Valued Customer,

We are aware that you have requested a refund for products not delivered, and we apologize for the delay in processing this refund in a timely and efficient manner. As you may be aware, Performance Parts Store is no longer in business, and we have been unable to process refunds in accordance with our legal direction.

However, we are aware that these funds are due to you and have gotten authorization to process these as soon as this week. Although your initial transaction was via Paypal, our bank is no longer able to process Paypal refunds. Our lawyer, Scott Scharf, LLP, will be processing these refunds through a designated checking account issued directly to you. The check will be made to the name given when you checked out, and will be made payable FROM Scott Scharf, I.O.L.T.A. Account. You can expect your refund within 10 business days.

Our phone number is still active, although we do not have staff answering the phones. The easiest way to communicate with the PPS staff is through this email account, so if you should have questions, please hit "respond" and make sure to INCLUDE this email within the body of your email. Additionally, please include your FULL NAME and TELEPHONE NUMBER. This email is checked at least once every 48 hours, so please be patient.

We apologize in advance for the problems this may have caused you. Please be assured that we intend to issue your refund. If you have already filed for a charge back, we will inform Paypal that a refund has been issued as soon as we receive confirmation from them. If the case has already been decided in your favor, then you will NOT be receiving an additional check from us; we will let Paypal know that the refund was authorized.

Sincerely,

Performance Parts Store

Well, that explains a lot. I got lucky, and it was only $35 for some sway links. Hopefully all unfullfilled orders will get the same treatment.
