I need to get all new brakes and rotors on my 02 m3. Since i am going to spend the money i was looking into some aftermarket brakes. I am looking to spend around 15-2500. Basically 4 rotors, 4 brake pads, and maybe some colored calipers. Some of the pads i was checking out were brembo or ebc and i saw the european drilled rotors for sale on active autowerk site. Basically i am looking for a brake set that will be at least as good as the stock and maybe last a little longer and put out less dust. I don't do any track time so i dont need anything extreme. I am also wondering if i can mix and match calipers rotors and pads. Just looking for some direction.
Thanks

Hey I run the UUC rotors and Hawk Ceramic pads. There is pretty much no dust and they bite way better than stock. I track the vehicle and did not get any brake dust nor did I really feel any brake fade at the last autox I was at. I bought them directly from UUC and it is a great product. And you can always paint the calipers yourself.

I think you're right about the calipers. I was looking on the site and am leaning towards the UUC Ultimate OE-type rotors for the front and rear. I am wondering what kind of service life i can expect from these rotors.

I checked out the UUC brake lines but since i dont do any track time i dont think they would be necessary.

For brake pads I was thinking of going with either the hawk pads or trying the EBC red stuff. Just wondering if its ok to mix and match. Any thoughts appreciated.

BTW the other rotors i was looking at were power slot and dba line.

The UUC rotors have the slots and they dont go all the way to the edge which is supposed to be better. I talked to the guys at UUC and they were very helpful. If I were you I would give them a call. I think I paid something like $365 for the front rotors and pads. Had them installed at tuffy and did a brake fluid flush for $200 I think.
