View Full Version : Just wanted to thank the MARB w/ a slammed blue E36 M3 and RRT sticker.
Another Drew 09-18-2006, 03:13 PM Thanks for busting that U-turn right in front of me after I let you pull out of your illegal parking spot in DC. I love just sitting through 2 red-light cycles.
BTW, does your car handle well riding on just bumpstops? You know you can just get rid of your springs then....you'll totally avoid the whole sprung/unsprung weight issues.
--Andrew Lee, who won't be a considerate driver from now on because of jacka55's.
jkuper 09-18-2006, 03:23 PM Drew, you have to specify if it's Avus, Estoril, etc. How are we suppose to know which blue it was??
E36DJ?

E36DJ?
I bet you it is!
John V 09-18-2006, 03:35 PM Did he drift the U-turn?
SpeedTheory 09-18-2006, 03:40 PM Someone post the picture of the X-pipe.
JamesM3M5 09-18-2006, 03:41 PM I bet you it is!
I don't think he's ever been to our shop. It wasn't me. :shifty

I don't know all the BMW nomenclature for all their blues. It was a light navy-blue, sort of like the lighter blue on the capital building in your sig.
Did he drift the U-turn?
I don't think he has the driving skills to do drift turn, let alone that he would have a hard time with his understeering-slammed suspension.

Another Drew 09-18-2006, 04:04 PM VA, DC, or NC tags?
I'm pretty sure it was VA tags. It's the same blue as the guy with the "M-rated" but I'm not sure if it was him or not.
The guy had the RRT sticker showing through his rear tinted side windows.
James, you shouldn't be handing out your stickers like lollipops...there's good publicity and then there's bad publicity :stickoutt
continuing ed 09-18-2006, 04:13 PM James, will you put a couple of those stickerzzz on the cabrio while it's there? Maybe glue them to the fabric on the sides of the soft top. HOT!
Ed
James -
I already have the RRT stickerzzz on my car.
Can't recall when you scheduled me to create a scene in downtown DC...
Neil
wushucivic 09-18-2006, 05:32 PM it wasn't me since i haven't put on my RRT stickers yet, and more importantly i don't drive in DC :shifty

Your car's rear is too high to fit the description.
MWhip 09-18-2006, 06:41 PM Wasn't me either
1996BMW328I 09-18-2006, 06:41 PM James,
Can you hook me up with a RRT sticker? I want to go to DC for a day and find the OP. I'm sure I can do worse than just a U-Turn :evil2
Biggins 09-18-2006, 10:03 PM Andrew:
I tried emailing you pics from the NASA race on 8/26, but I've been having major computer problems. I'm attaching here what I believe may be the only pic I have of you from that day's racing...
Another Drew 09-18-2006, 10:34 PM Sweet! Thanks, Chris!
Preppy 09-19-2006, 01:51 AM Sorry Drew, won't happen again. I appreciate what you did...

Preppy 09-19-2006, 03:48 PM wait, I'm confused. why do people hate Alex (e36dj)?
Send a PM to Racecar Driver and ask Marcus why? You'll find out...
continuing ed 09-19-2006, 06:52 PM My estoril M was parked in Virginia all week, though it does spend some time at RRT. And a U-turn caused somebody to miss TWO cycles of a traffic light? Must have been a hellacious cloud of tire smoke, or he ripped the fabric of the space-time continuum.
Another Drew 09-19-2006, 07:28 PM Well, actually , it was a 3 pt turn. Maybe he couldnt' do a full U turn because his front wheels would scrape the fenders at full-lock? :dunno
