View Full Version : I want a different daily driver, looking for E30
Currently putting miles on a '96 240SX SE. It's going to be FS and am looking for a decently cheap '91 318is or an '89-91 325i/is.
Would consider an early E36 if it was cheap enough. Please be on the look out for me and if you see something, let me know. :)
adeelpowers 09-17-2006, 05:42 PM e30s are automotive hotcakes.
M3Bill 09-17-2006, 05:45 PM It took me forever to find mine...
Get in line...
I know, I know. Figured I'd put it out there just in case you guys came across something...

fefyfo 09-18-2006, 05:40 PM Is that manual? IF so, please keep it running and well lubed for 2 mths. I need to get a DD bad. My car is at 62k on the odo and I'm not wanting to drive it but one day a week now.
jokestar 09-18-2006, 06:44 PM yes it is manual.
EDIT: i do not have it up for sale, but i will be willing to sell. i think i am going to get an e36 but am in no hurry.
Wannabimmer01 09-18-2006, 09:10 PM I'm curious about that car on autotrader, why is it that people trying to sell a car don't even bother cleaning it up at all? I always see cars that are dirty inside and out, no tire shine on em, no wax, nothin:confused. If you wanna sell a car, wouldn't that be the first thing to do for pics?

I don't get it either, but it's their loss, not mine. :)
kendogg 09-19-2006, 06:36 PM And what is it with eople trying to get $3k for an eta? I don't think any eta is worht over $2k unless it is mint, under 100k, and modded, imo.

94calypsored 09-23-2006, 12:28 AM Go with an E36, you can get em cheap enough these days, and down in the south were I think you are they should be in pretty good exterior condition to begin with. how much are you willing to spend anyway?

4-5k, im still indecisive on selling the e30 or not though. that would decide whether i go for an e36 or not.
s14realm3 09-23-2006, 07:03 AM what kind of condition e30 or e36 are you looking for? I have helped m,any frinends find nice e30s, theya re out there, you just gotta know where to dig and look. Ebay just had a 1989 325i sold for $4500 and another 1990 sold for $6500!!!!!!!!!! thats pretty much top dollar for the condition for those 2 cars. Check out some of the e30s I have sold in the past. http://groups.msn.com/M3stuff/pictures

Interesting... I never knew any e30 had a tilt steering wheel :confused
1500 dosn't seem too bad if you can get it for that cheap though, tell him you really wanted tilt steering lol
atl530i 09-23-2006, 10:26 AM How much for the 240?
How much for the 240?
Not sure yet. Say 5200ish. Would prefer to trade than to get caught up in selling/rebuying. I'm always negotiable though.

Looking for a decent driver. Mechanical condition is far more important to me than cosmetics though I don't want a beat up car either. Does that make sense, or only in my head?

That makes perfect sense. I was looking for the same thing during my e30 hunt...

Thanks. Sometimes I think things as I'm typing them out, read them, and wonder if something may get "lost in translation". :shifty
