I am thinking about getting a Mini S and tricking it out by either Alta or Helix whichever gives me the most RWHP.... I am going out next week to test drive one to see if I like it or not... I will keep the 540i for comfort..... RalphzMCS 09-24-2006, 10:06 AM the helix kit is a more complete kit(and only costs a little more) and uses a gt28rs, while the alta uses a slightly bigger gt3071r and doesn't come with boost controller, software, or injectors. last i checked alta didnt have their stage 2 that has injectors and software but you could check with them for updates...good luck with the mini purchase, totally different ride and a blast to drive DETONATION666 09-24-2006, 04:25 PM No Vids of them yet?? JennB 09-24-2006, 10:56 PM RWHP??? MINIs are FWD. I personally am not into twincharging. They require too much work and are not that reliable.... or so every person I've ever spoken to that has one has said. If you don't have to rely on the car as a daily driver, you may have a blast with it though. DIRT11 09-25-2006, 06:34 AM RWHP??? MINIs are FWD. I personally am not into twincharging. You don't know the strength of the engine, the fueling system, or even the sizes of the compressors. You can't just say "Whoa that's a lot of pressure" when you know nothing of the engine specs. |
