perplexed. car tries to move foward but won't. backs up solidly. what should I check??

The price of installing a new trans! Of course a rebuild would be cheaper but they're so sketchy unless you have a solid reference for a good shop.

Keep hearing 1st gear clutch burnout problem. Is there a way to verify this without teardown? Lock it in 2nd? Max
